In the Art realm, we have monographs signed Max Dupain and Frank Hinder and other desirables like Georges Braque. There are numerous catalogue Raisonne – mostly of Renaissance artists with Jacopo Bellini and Gabriel Metsu.

We have a grandiose copy of James Cook’s three voyages illustrated with large plates and charts as well as other scientific publications on ornithology and botany.

Additionally, we have classic books illustrated by artists like Arthur Rackham as well as, Rudyard Kipling’s Almanac of Twelve sports illustrated by William Nicolson – signed by Nicholson.

Furthermore, we have fabulous etchings including the 1851 Crystal Palace in London by Baxter, a portrait of Young Queen Victoria by Wagstaff. We also have a lovely interior of the Garden Palace interior and 1879 Sydney Exhibition award for Needlework!

My favourite, by far, is an attractive colour image of the 1884 World Sculling Champion William Beach who beat the Canadian by a few strokes.

Paintings of note include “Patrick G” the 1908 Champion Horse and there is also a sweet portrait of Mother and Son from White Family who were involved in the Meadowbank Manufacturing Company.

If you like local history we have numerous views of Ballarat, to Blue Mountains – some I have never seen before.

It should be an enjoyable browse!
