Arthur Upfield

Arthur William Upfield(1890–1964) is an Australian journalist and crime fiction writer. During World War One he was in the Light Horse Brigade Train in the Middle East. He travelled the Australian outback for a number of years and wrote articles for Walkabout Magazine and the Bulletin. He is best known for his crime fiction stories featuring a detective named “Bony.” We have a number of Upfield books in our next auction including first editions including Bony and the White Savage Lot 47.
