We have our usual eclectic gathering of items from books, to Maps, to stamps to ephemera on a good an varied range of subjects history, art, military, culture and science.
This auction contains a diverse and eclectic range of old books and exciting material, including John Oxley’s Journal of Explorations during the years 1817-1818 (Lot number 11); and a large copy of John Hunter’s First Fleet Account published in 1793 (Lot 17). For aviation collectors is the sumptuous publication ‘Australian and Malayan Battle Planes’ of 1918 (Lot 256). There are some early maps, including an Early Blaeu map of East Asia and India printed in 1635 (Lot 31). And of special interest to Sydney collectors is the splendid Harbour view from James Atkinson’s ‘Account of the State of Agriculture in New South Wales’, London 1826 (Lot 22)
