Science Fiction Books & Magazines Firsts & Rarities A174

12 noon, Sunday, 8th March

We are delighted to announce our latest auction, being the science fiction books and magazines of a veteran Sydney collector. The material includes some significant first editions, such as The Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham (1951) and Philip K. Dick’s dystopian nightmare titled The Man in the High Castle (1962). Both are attractive copies with their dust-jackets.

Of special interest are the runs of pulp fiction magazines from the thirties through to the seventies. Featuring cover art both beautiful and innovative, these pulps are littered with short novels and stories by science fiction greats including Clifford Simak, Philip K. Dick, Robert A. Heinlein, Sprague de Camp, Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury and L. Ron Hubbard.

Many of these pulps are desirable rarities, and this auction represents a real opportunity for passionate collectors of science fiction and fantasy literature.
