If you can’t make it on the day, we have viewing on weekdays from 10am until 5pm – and it is worth coming in – the books won’t disappoint and we’d love to see you.

We several items relating to John Milton including his Paradise Lost; Milton vindicated from the charge of plagiarism brought against him by Mr. Lauder by John Douglas. We also have a few items relating to the English Civil War including Eikon Basilike Portrait of King Charles and Eikon aklastos: The Image unbroken. and Toland’s Amyntor: A defence of Milton’s.

To begin we have this wonderful 1475 Italian Incunabula in Monastic Binding (Lot 13) and 1669 Richard Lower Tractatus de Corde (Lot 37)

For the scientist we also have an 1860 Charles Darwin Origin of Species Second Edition (Lot 36).

We also have an unusual compilation of 38 Quakers ReligiousTracts 1655-1666 (Lot 31).
