The Gary Gorton Rhythm & Blues Vinyl Collection – 7inch 45rpm records

Gary Gorton didn’t just love books he loved music too. He played musical instruments and often played solos. He also moonlighted as a as DJ in Hong Kong and Bangkok and grew quite a following.

His collection of vinyl show a time of flux when Rhythm & Blues was being introduced into the mainstream. There is quite a variety Jazz, Chicago Blues, Delta Blues and Doo Wop.

The artists included in the collection are many and varied from Nat “King” Cole to The Mills Brother and the Ink Spots. He had Rock Hall of Fame musicians including Little Richards, Duke Elligton, John Lee Booker, Memphis Minie, John Greer, Jack Dupree, Dinah Washington and more.

Many of the record labels are present Sun, King, OHkey, Savoy, Capitol, RCA Victor and more. They are all 7inch 45rpm. Some red and orange vinyl, some Complimentary or disc jockey copies. Their condition are all excellent. In the publisher’s paper slip and protective paper cover and some with the additional plastic inner.
